about

This is the debut album by Piranha Pond.
Recorded in Musicians Institute, Los Angeles between April and September 2014.

Recorded over 6 months of painstaking work and practically zero budget, we were finally able to put our vision forward. Everything was done in-house from inception to distribution. We booked our own studio time, learned many skills on the way, also made our own hand-drawn artwork.

Shikhar has now moved to Mumbai but Pierce and him have plans to record another album very soon (we already have a bunch of songs written). Show us some love and buy our album. We can make an album for practically free because we are awesome ;) but we still have to pay for plane tickets and food.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and read. If you can't spare any cash don't sweat it. Just by listening to it alone and sharing it with your friends you are doing us a solid!

Track Name: Asteroid Blues
Faces looking upward
At the blue sky
Weatherman on the Tv
Says it'll rain tonight
Black cats crossing alleys
Evil on their minds
Spacemen on the job
Saving our kind

when the stars start falling
Will you lay down and die?
(Stars fall from the sky)
when the world is colla psing
Will you pray to survive?
(Worlds collapse and die)
Down down down bring the rain
Down down down it comes again
(Down, down, down....)

Omens near the moon
Pelting little stones
Horoscopes in the paper
Ending very soon
Sinners doing good
Playing it safe
With asteroids around the corner
Everybody's blue

when the stars start falling
Will you stop telling lies?
And when the world is collapsing
stop pretending and smile?
Down down down bring the rain
Down down down it comes again
Track Name: Dancing Clowns
I had it inside
What you had in sight
But they shot it down
With their laser eyes
while you only smiled

Im looking around
In whatever surrounds
Under the bed,
My flashlight is dead
But I've never fled

Now you don't seem to think that I know you
You didn't know they'd ever control you
But they're doing it now, with their dancing clowns
And we know its fine...

Dont care to believe
All the things that you see
Like internet friends
And the current trends
Have they never lied?

Now you don't seem to think that I know you
You didn't know they'd ever control you
But they're doing it now, with their dancing clowns
And we know its fine...

What's lost and is found
Is broken and drowned
Well, its not the same
Its rather lame
To think It is fixed

Now you don't seem to think that I know you
You didn't know they'd ever control you
But they're doing it now, with their dancing clowns
And we know its fine...
Track Name: Wishing Well
(Instrumental)
Track Name: Space Quest
They sent us on a cosmic chase
A legendary quest
Through time and space
To save the dying human race
Said a nameless face
Of the mega corporation.

So we pack our bags
Update the maps
Check for scanner lag
Call upon a scientist
From the lab
Who joins this merry gang

Space travel ain't easy
It takes a hardened man
Of heart and soul as pure as gold
And eyes that shine in the dark

Now swimming
Through stars
Lightyears apart
In the nuclear jar
Doomed from the start
Was a monster in the dark

But our eyes wouldn't shine
With a shriveled spine
We saw what confined
Can cross the line
And all us nine
Were really really funked ;)

Space travel ain't easy
It takes a hardened man
Of heart and soul as pure as gold
And eyes that shine in the dark

So I hacked and sawed
Through astronauts
Whose brains had burnt
Maddening hot
From being in space
Too very long

Headed to Earth
Im frozen in ice
Travelling through time
Didn't turn out so nice
A thousand years from here
I'll be home again....

Space travel ain't easy
It takes a hardened man
Of heart and soul as pure as gold
And eyes that shine in the dark
Track Name: In the Sea
One man mind alone
He crawls onto the floor
Break all evil bind
Thinks to nevermind

Speak in many tense
Tiger fright intense
He head on to the bend
Fails on all intent

And sometimes in the sea
It falls on oceans free
I saw all to be seen
And then felt to be free

Walking in his mind
Never too unkind
Lights bright in sight
Sparkle biting bright

And sometimes in the sea
It falls on oceans free
I saw all to be seen
And then felt to be free.
